September – 2021

The project was a dynamic Lucha Libre event featuring Cinta de Oro, former WWE star Sin Cara, organized to celebrate the completion of HOME’s $2.3 billion RAD reconfiguration project. With 6,000 attendees, including families and kids, the event transformed Historic Texas Street in downtown El Paso into a thrilling outdoor arena.

The client briefing emphasized the event’s dual purpose: honoring Cinta de Oro’s upbringing in public housing and celebrating the community’s achievement with the RAD project. Design decisions focused on creating an immersive experience, blending Lucha Libre’s vibrant energy with El Paso’s cultural heritage.

We closed off Historic Texas Street and added lighting to enhance the spectacle. The ring served as the focal point, surrounded by festive decorations and signage. Event management involved meticulous planning, from securing permits to coordinating with local authorities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

Overall, the event was a unique celebration that brought the community together, combining entertainment with a spirit of giving back and celebrating achievements.

Here you could add a nice little description about your project, talk a little about the client briefing and explain some of the design decisions you made while working on this piece. There’s no need to write too much copy, make it nice short and snappy.
